Jukumu Letu

Jukumu Letu means ‘ your own responsibility’  in Swahili.

The Jukumu Letu Center is a daycare for vulnarable children in the Ngong Town slums near Nairobi. For a small amount per day the project provides daycare for the children of working (single) women during workhours. 

At our website products are sold that provide an income to the women of the Ngong Town slums who are the artisans of the products and with the profit of the products the Jukumu Letu project is being supported.

The mission of the Power Women:"We envision a community where every woman living with HIV/AIDS has the capacity to accept and appreciate herself, while working together to better her life, the lives of her children and the lives of Kiberans. "

Foundation 4 Life (F4L)


F4L is a dutch organisation supporting the people in Kibera mainly by providing employment and education to women who have been infected by HIV. F4L believes it is only useful to support a person or a family in all aspects of their life to be really able to improve their lives. Therefore F4L is not only providing employment for the women, but the concept is based on four areas of support: employment, education, foster care and export and sales.
